معرفی
Todd J. Vision is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research focuses on genome evolution, the genetic basis of ecological differences between species, and the development of computational methods for analyzing biological data. He leads the Vision Lab, which studies plant genomes and integrates molecular and computational approaches to understand evolutionary processes.
Key collaborations include work on the Vertebrate Taxonomy Ontology (VTO) and projects funded by the NSF, such as semantic integration of evolutionary trees. He has advised PhD student Bryan Reatini, whose work on invasive Psidium in the Galápagos was supported by an NSF postdoctoral fellowship.
Publications highlight contributions to data reuse practices and ontology-driven phenotypic analysis. His lab is located in the Genome Sciences Building, and he contributes to initiatives like the Phenoscape Knowledgebase and semantic web applications in biodiversity research.
