Hardin's research centers on the synthesis of Christian theological frameworks with clinical counseling practices, specializing in Biblical Counseling, Pastoral Counseling, and Christian Counseling methodologies. His work critically examines secular therapeutic approaches through a theological lens, emphasizing scriptural application in emotional and psychological contexts while developing frameworks for lay counselor training and theological integration within counseling environments.
His publication history (2011-2016) reveals consistent exploration of Christianity's role in counseling, with recurring themes including the reconciliation of Emotion-Focused Therapy with Christian epistemology, case-based scripture implementation, historical analysis of Christian counseling practices, and practical guidance for maintaining theological integrity within therapeutic settings. These works collectively address the tension between psychological science and religious doctrine in clinical practice.
