معرفی
Prof. Tingting Xiang is a Bioengineering Professor at the University of California, Riverside (UCR), leading the Xiang Lab. Her research focuses on host-microbe interactions, particularly coral-algal symbiosis and dinoflagellate biology. The lab employs systems biology approaches, including metabolomics, transcriptomics, and genetic methods, to study symbiosis and toxin biosynthesis in marine organisms.
Her work addresses fundamental questions in symbiotic relationships, aiming to advance biotechnological applications and ecological conservation. The lab is part of UCR's Department of Bioengineering and actively recruits graduate students, undergraduates, and postdoctoral researchers to join projects focused on cnidarian-dinoflagellate symbiosis and environmental adaptation.
Key research themes include molecular mechanisms of symbiosis, dinoflagellate metabolism, and coral resilience under climate change. Prof. Xiang collaborates on initiatives like the Plant Cell Atlas to integrate cellular and genomic data for systems-level insights.
