Ting Zhou is a part-time lecturer at the Macquarie School of Education, Macquarie University, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidate in the Faculty of Arts. Her research focuses on multilingualism, multimodal literacy, and translanguaging practices in bilingual families, particularly through shared reading of wordless picturebooks with preschool children.

- MA in Linguistics, Xiamen University (2019–2022)
Her recent work includes a 2025 peer-reviewed scoping review on shared reading practices for multilingual preschoolers, two book reviews analyzing discourse studies and early language learning methods, and collaborations with Emilia Djonov and Alice Chik. Ting Zhou actively participates in academic events, serving as a session chair at the 2024 International Postgraduate Roundtable and delivering invited talks on bilingual family strategies.
