Tinde van Andel is a prominent ethnobotanist holding multiple academic positions as Clusius Professor of History of Botany and Gardens at Leiden University's Institute of Biology, Special Professor of Ethnobotany at Wageningen University's Biosystematics group, and Senior Researcher in Ethnobotany at Naturalis Biodiversity Center's Tropical Botany department.
