معرفی
Tina Vicky Alstrup Hansen serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at the University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. Her research focuses on molecular pharmacology of anthelmintic drugs targeting nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in parasitic nematodes.
Her primary research interests include:
- Molecular mechanisms of anthelmintic drug action
- Pharmacology of parasitic nematode receptors
- Two-Electrode Voltage-Clamp electrophysiology using Xenopus laevis oocytes
- Development of novel anti-parasitic compounds
- Caenorhabditis elegans as antimicrobial screening model
Recent publications reveal strong focus on oxantel's mechanism against whipworms, betaine-gated receptors in nematodes, and antimicrobial compound screening using C. elegans models. Her work bridges veterinary pharmacology, parasitology, and molecular neuroscience with emphasis on anthelmintic drug development.
Dr. Hansen maintains an active research profile with 36 research outputs including 22 journal articles, 11 conference abstracts, 2 posters, and 1 review. She previously held a Postdoc position at the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE) from March 2019 to December 2020.
