Tina Barouti

Tina Barouti is a Lecturer in the Department of Art History, Theory, and Criticism at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). She holds a BA in Art History (2013, University of Southern California), MA in Art History with African Studies (2015, Boston University), and PhD in Art History (2022, Boston University). Her research focuses on decolonization in African and West Asian art, exploring how artists reclaim identity and envision alternative futures through multidisciplinary networks.
