Timothy Susse is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Bard College at Simon's Rock. He holds a PhD from The Graduate Center, CUNY (2014) and a BA from Vassar College. His research focuses on geometric and combinatorial group theory, low-dimensional topology, with intersections in combinatorics, probability, and computer science. He previously served as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2014-2017), where he supervised undergraduate research and engaged in STEM outreach programs like All Girls All Math. He maintains an active GitHub profile (github.com/tisusse) with repositories related to cryptography and Coxeter groups.
Education: PhD in Mathematics (CUNY Graduate Center), BA in Mathematics (Vassar College, Phi Beta Kappa).
Research emphasizes right-angled Coxeter groups, automorphisms, automatic groups, and hyperbolic groups. Teaching experience includes roles at York College of CUNY and Columbia University's REU program.
