Timothy Spaulding is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Delaware, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Black American Studies. He holds a B.A. from Fordham University (1991), M.A. (1994), and Ph.D. (1999) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research focuses on African American literature, 20th-century literature, and literary/cultural theory, with a current project exploring African American Literature and the Jazz Aesthetic. His publications include the monograph Re-Forming the Past (2005) and articles on authors like Charles Johnson and Ralph Ellison.
