Timothy P. Bianco is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business and Economics at Allegheny College, affiliated with the Bruce R. Thompson Center for Business and Economics. He serves as Co-Director of the Center, where he leads academic programming including lecture series, executive engagements, and student competitions.

Dr. Bianco is a macroeconomist whose research centers on credit markets, the impact of policy on credit flow, and the evolution of financial systems in the 21st century. His work bridges theoretical and applied economics, with a focus on real-world financial behavior and regulatory effects. He brings practical experience from nearly five years as an Economic Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.
His publications appear in leading journals such as the Journal of Macroeconomics and the Journal of Banking and Finance, reflecting a strong trajectory in empirical and policy-relevant macroeconomic research.
Dr. Bianco actively mentors students through center-led initiatives, including the Lunchtime Lecture Series, Executive in Residence program, and the Zingale Big Idea Competition. He collaborates with faculty, alumni, and industry leaders to enrich the academic experience for business and economics students.
