Timothy Jung

Professor Timothy Jung is Chair Professor of XR, Director of the Creative AR & VR Hub, and Lead of the Digital Transformation Knowledge Platform at Manchester Metropolitan University. His research focuses on immersive technologies like AR, VR, and the Metaverse, applied to tourism, healthcare, education, and cultural heritage. He has supervised over 15 PhD students and served as an external examiner at multiple universities. His work includes projects with organizations like the NHS, Lake District National Park, and Shanghai University. He is a recipient of prestigious awards, including Clarivate Analytics' Highly Cited Researchers 2023 and Stanford's World Top 2% Researchers List. He leads the International AR/VR/XR-Metaverse Conference series and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
