Dr. Brenneman is a Professor of Plant Pathology at the University of Georgia's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, specializing in peanut and pecan disease management. His research program focuses on epidemiology and control strategies for soilborne peanut diseases (Sclerotium rolfsii, Rhizoctonia solani) and pecan scab (Fusicladium effusum). He has pioneered work on pecan truffle cultivation and fungicide resistance management.
His extensive funding portfolio includes USDA grants and commodity board support for projects on disease-resistant cultivars and precision spraying technologies.
