Timo Fabritius

Timo Fabritius is a Professor in Process Metallurgy at the University of Oulu, Faculty of Technology. He leads the Process Metallurgy research unit and focuses on high-temperature processes, including heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, chemical equilibrium, and reaction kinetics in iron and steel production.

With a Scopus h-index of 19, he has published over 120 journal articles and 100 conference papers. He has supervised 16 doctoral and 110 master's theses and led 5 EU-RFCS projects, 4 large national programs (total budget €10.6M), and numerous national projects. Since 2010, he has served on the Advisory Board of the Association of Finnish Steel and Metal Producers.
