Tilmann Steinmetz

Tilmann Steinmetz is a Research Fellow (Postdoc) in the Physics Education Research Group (AG Didaktik der Physik) at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, University of Stuttgart. Since March 2024, he has been part of the Postdoc-Kolleg TEIFUN, researching AI tutors for physics education. Previously, he worked as an academic staff member in BMBF-funded projects MINT-ProNeD (2023-2024) and Lehrerbildung PLUS (2016-2023) at the Professional School of Education Stuttgart-Ludwigsburg.

His educational background includes:

• PhD (2021) from Ludwigsburg University of Education on "Cumulative Teaching and Learning in Physics Teacher Education"
• M.Sc. in Physics from University of Stuttgart (optical microresonators research)
