Prof. Tilmann Gneiting is a renowned academic holding dual roles as Group Leader of Computational Statistics at the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS) and Professor of Computational Statistics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). He specializes in statistical methodology, probability theory, and forecasting applications across environmental, atmospheric, and earth sciences. His research bridges theoretical foundations with practical challenges in weather prediction, climate modeling, and uncertainty quantification.
