Tilmann E. Kuhn

Dr. Tilmann E. Kuhn is the Deputy Head of the Department Energy Efficient Buildings at Fraunhofer ISE, specializing in energy-efficient building systems and solar technologies. He holds a PhD in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and has been with Fraunhofer ISE since 1999. His research focuses on building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), solar thermal systems, and smart building technologies. He has led the Solar Building Envelope Group (2004-2022) and coordinated numerous national and international projects. His work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, standardization, and practical implementation of renewable energy solutions.
