Tilahun Asefa Abrha

Tilahun Asefa Abrha is a Doctoral Student at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, specializing in the evolutionary history of stone tools. He has served as a Lecturer at Mekelle University (2019–Present) and Samara University (2016–2018), both in Ethiopia.

His research focuses on the origins of intentional flake production, combining experimental archaeology, archaeological data, and non-human primate lithic assemblages through typo-technological comparative analysis. He has participated in fieldwork projects in France (Pech de l’Azè IV) and Ethiopia (Mille-Logya, Ledi-Geraru, Kesem Kebena Dulecha).
