Tikvah Hayes

Tikvah Hayes is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles. She is affiliated with the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center's Signal Transduction and Therapeutics Program.

• Education: B.A./B.S. in History and Animal Physiology and Neuroscience from UC San Diego (2001-2005), Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from UNC Chapel Hill (2009-2016), and postdoctoral training in Cancer Genomics at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Broad Institute (2016-2021).

Her research focuses on oncogene dependency, signal transduction, and therapeutic strategies for cancer. The lab systematically analyzes variants of unknown significance (VUS) and resistance mechanisms to targeted therapies using high-throughput genetic screening, molecular biology, and inhibitor sensitivity/resistance assays.

Her work bridges functional genomics and clinical translation to improve cancer treatment outcomes.
