Tika Lamsal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Rhetoric and Language at the University of San Francisco's College of Arts and Sciences. He teaches rhetoric, composition, cross-cultural communication, and global rhetorics across undergraduate and graduate programs. He holds a PhD in Rhetoric and Composition from the University of Louisville.
His research examines linguistic, cultural, and multimodal literacies of Bhutanese refugees in U.S. contexts, investigating how refugees negotiate academic, cultural, and economic transitions using their linguistic repertoires. Additional research areas include digital composition, translingual writing practices, and non-Western rhetorical traditions.
Lamsal has contributed to collaborative books on business communication and Nepali cultural narratives. His pedagogical approach emphasizes critical ethnography and investigates how students navigate cross-cultural writing contexts.
