Tiit Maaten

Tiit Maaten serves as Chief Specialist in Forest Tree Improvement at the Chair of Silviculture and Forest Ecology within the Institute of Forestry and Engineering at Estonian University of Life Sciences.

His research focuses on several key areas of forest science:

• Forest Ecology - studying the complex relationships between forest organisms and their environment
• Silviculture - the practice of controlling the establishment, growth, composition, health, and quality of forests
• Tree Genetics - examining genetic variation in forest trees and its applications for improvement programs
