Tiffany Pang is a full-time Lecturer I at the Language Centre of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and a PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh, specializing in sociolinguistics, gender studies, and discourse analysis. She holds a BA, BEd, MA, and PhD in Linguistics and English Language. Her research focuses on gendered identity construction, particularly the discursive framing of 'Princess Syndrome' in Asian contexts, and utilizes corpus-assisted methods, narrative analysis, and membership categorization analysis.
Professionally, Tiffany has taught at the University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Metropolitan University, covering translation, semantics, sociolinguistics, and EAP/ESP courses. She leads the GE 2412 English for Humanities course at CityU, developing instructional materials and mentoring teaching staff. Her innovative use of virtual reality (VR) in narrative writing classes earned her the Innovative CityU-Learning Award (2020/2021) and media coverage in the South China Morning Post.
Tiffany serves on the Judging Panel for the Reimagine Education Awards (since 2022) and the Selection Panel for CityU’s Teaching Excellence Award (2024/2025). She is also a member of the Hong Kong Continuing Professional Development Hub and the University of Edinburgh’s Higher Education Research Group. Starting September 2025, she will join the Board of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at CityU.
