Tiffany Hobbs is a Professor of Acting at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta, holding the position since 2024. She is a multifaceted artist with over 25 years of experience in theatre, film, and television, combining performance with education. She holds an M.F.A. in Theatre from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and a B.A. in Theatre and Public Relations from the University of Georgia (UGA).
Her professional career includes notable roles in Broadway productions like The Lion King and Waitress, as well as acclaimed theatre performances such as Twelfth Night at Yale Repertory Theatre. She has appeared in major TV networks and streaming platforms, including Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and FX, with roles in Ozark, The Trial of the Chicago 7, and A Spectacular Christmas.
Her research interests and artistic focus encompass character development in diverse media, theatrical production techniques, and educational outreach in the arts. She has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at Arlington and SMU, and maintains a private acting coaching practice.
Recipient of numerous awards, Hobbs has been honored for her performances in theatre and film, including the Bob Hope Award and Yale Summer Conservatory recognitions. She also volunteers with StateraArts and Highland Park United Methodist Church's Special Needs Program.
