Tiffany Danko is a Rear Admiral in the U.S. Coast Guard and a Professor in the Master of Science in Criminal Justice (MSCJ) program at the University of Southern California’s Bovard College. She leads in emergency management, maritime and homeland security, intelligence, and international affairs, with nearly 30 years of applied experience. Her leadership roles include senior positions in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve and developing graduate programs in homeland security and emergency management with experiential learning.
Educationally, she holds an EdD in Organizational Leadership Studies from Northeastern University, an MA from San Diego State University, and a BS from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. She is a graduate of the U.S. Naval War College Command and Staff Program (2013) and the Joint Forces Staff College Joint Combined Warfighting School (2015). She also holds certifications as a NIMS Type 1 Incident Commander and Navy Surface Warfare Officer.
Her research focuses on leadership and military strategies, with publications in these areas. She emphasizes inclusive team-building and authentic leadership, encouraging graduates to 'build the bench, lead from the front, and be the example.'
