Tian Dai

Tian Dai is a Doctoral Research Fellow (academic rank: Research Fellow) in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Oslo, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. His research focuses on synthesizing and characterizing novel electrode materials for next-generation energy storage systems.

His primary research centers on anti-perovskite (AP) cathode materials with the formula Li₂TMChO (TM = Mn, Fe, Co; Ch = S, Se), which demonstrate exceptional capacity (>300 mAh/g experimentally, >400 mAh/g theoretically) and minimal volume change during cycling due to their unique cubic structure and cation-disordering properties. Dai employs advanced operando X-ray techniques to investigate structural evolution during battery operation, aiming to resolve fundamental electrochemical mechanisms.

Dai is actively affiliated with the Inorganic Materials Chemistry research group and the Nanostructures and Functional Materials (NAFUMA) consortium, contributing to cutting-edge battery material development.
