Tiago de Oliveira Loiola

Tiago de Oliveira Loiola is a Professor at the Federal University of Rondônia (Guajará-Mirim campus) and leader of the Socioeconomic and Regional Development in the Amazon Research Group (GPESDRA). He holds a Bachelor's in Economics (2009) and a Master's in Regional Development (2014) from the Federal University of Acre, and is currently a PhD candidate in 'Development, Societies and Territories' at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Portugal.

His research focuses on Public Policies in the Brazilian Western Amazon, Socioeconomic Development in Amazon regions, Spatial Data Analysis, and Labor Market Discrimination. His recent work includes studies on regional development policies in free trade zones and the impact of exchange rates on Guajará-Mirim's trade balance.

He has contributed to international journals such as *Revista de Estudos Urbanos e Regionais – EURE* and *Revista de Administração de Roraima – RARR*. His projects span both national and international collaboration, with ongoing initiatives under research groups like Douro SocioEcoLL and Data4LowDensity.
