Tiago Saraiva is an Associate Professor and Department Head in the Department of History at Drexel University. He also serves as co-editor of the journal History and Technology and a member of the editorial team for the Cambridge History of Technology. His work bridges the history of science, technology, and global politics, with a focus on colonialism, fascism, and decolonization.

Research Interests:
Saraiva explores the intersections of science, technology, and global politics through case studies such as fascist regimes' use of crops and animals, decolonization struggles in Africa, and the role of cloning in racial capitalism. His work often highlights how technoscientific practices shape national identity and colonial power dynamics.

Professional Experience:
He has held visiting professorships at UCLA and UC Berkeley, and was a research fellow at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon. He co-leads the Moving Crops project at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science.
