Thorsten Sellerer

Thorsten Sellerer is a Researcher at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), affiliated with the Department of Physics under the Faculty of Medicine. He is a key contributor to the Chair of Biomedical Physics, led by Prof. Dr. Franz Pfeiffer, and collaborates with the Munich Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Institute for Advanced Study.

Research Interests:

• Modeling and characterization of photon-counting detectors
• Dual-energy imaging in material science and non-destructive testing
• Dual-energy and spectral imaging in clinical applications
• Spectral phase-contrast and darkfield imaging

His research integrates deep learning for image analysis and quantitative material decomposition to improve diagnostic accuracy.
