Thomas Zimmermann is an Associate Professor at the Department of Archaeology, Bilkent University. He earned his PhD from the University of Regensburg, focusing on Copper Age Daggers through research at the Römisch Germanische Zentralmuseum Mainz. His academic work spans interdisciplinary archaeology, combining scientific methodologies with studies of early metallurgy, social stratification in ancient Anatolia, and cultural transitions in Mesopotamia during the Early Holocene.
