Thomas Wunderlich

Prof. Thomas Wunderlich is a faculty member at the Technische Universität München (TUM) since 2000, holding the Chair of Engineering Geodesy. His research focuses on high-precision monitoring, deformation analysis, and modern geodetic technologies like terrestrial laser scanning and sensor fusion for infrastructure applications.

• Education: Dipl.-Ing. (1979) and Dr.techn. (1983) from TU Wien, habilitated at Universität Hannover (1992).

His work spans applications in tunneling, alpine slope monitoring, and vehicle navigation systems. He has contributed to key publications in geodetic engineering, including early studies on GPS positioning and railway networks.
