Prof. Dr. Thomas Spiegler is a full-time Professor of Sociology and Empirical Social Research at the Theological University of Friedensau (THH Friedensau), where he serves as Dean of the Faculty of Christian Social Services. His work bridges sociological theory, educational mobility, and home education research, with a focus on social inequality and cultural capital in academic contexts.

Spiegler’s research investigates how social and cultural capital shape educational trajectories, particularly home education and first-generation students.
