Thomas Rønning

Thomas Rønning is an Associate Professor at the Department of Law, Philosophy and International Studies, Innlandet School of Business – Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, University of Inland Norway. His expertise lies in property law, law of obligations, and international private law.

Rønning's research focuses on unstatutory principles in Norwegian law, particularly restitution and enrichment, exemplified in his PhD thesis on "Condictio indebiti." His work bridges private law and international private law, with emphasis on contract law and legal interpretation.

Rønning's publications span restitution law, contractual interpretation, and cross-border legal norms. His recent articles analyze repayment claims, spousal support jurisdiction, and case law commentary, reflecting trends in Norwegian and comparative private law.
