معرفی
Dr. Thomas Pugh is a Reader in Biosphere-Atmosphere Exchange at the University of Birmingham, with a dual affiliation at Lund University. His research focuses on interactions between terrestrial ecosystems and climate, utilizing computational models and large-scale data synthesis. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science and a PhD in Environmental Science from Lancaster University.
Research interests include climate-vegetation feedbacks, forest mortality under climate stress, CO2 fertilization effects, and anthropogenic impacts on forest structure. He is affiliated with the Birmingham Institute of Forest Research (BIFoR) and leads interdisciplinary projects on global change impacts.
Recent publications highlight themes such as forest harvesting regimes, crop yield modeling, and tree mortality patterns. His work bridges ecological and climatic disciplines, with contributions to understanding land-use change and carbon cycle dynamics.
Dr. Pugh advises students in topics like climate-vegetation interactions and welcomes inquiries on forest demography and biogeochemical cycles. His research is supported through international collaborations and institutional partnerships.
