Thomas Preston is the C. O. Johnson Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Washington State University (WSU), affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts and the Department of Political Science. He specializes in security policy, foreign affairs, and political psychology, particularly leadership analysis. Preston earned a B.A. from Washburn University, an M.A. from the University of Essex (UK), and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. His teaching focuses on American foreign policy, U.S. national security, intelligence analysis, and the psychology of leadership decision-making at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
