Thomas Lans is a Lecturer in Promising Entrepreneurship at HAN University of Applied Sciences' Academy of Business and Communication since September 2021, officially installed on November 17, 2022. His work focuses on enhancing entrepreneurs' ability to identify and evaluate opportunities in dynamic environments, emphasizing sustainability, social inclusion, and digitalization. He leads the Promising Entrepreneurship research group, which develops tools to support small businesses in the Arnhem-Nijmegen region. His expertise spans entrepreneurial skills, SME development, action research, challenge-based learning, and public-private partnerships.
Key research themes include entrepreneurial opportunity recognition, stakeholder-oriented business practices, and innovation ecosystems.
