Thomas Kurer is an Assistant Professor in Politics and Inequality at the Department of Political Science, University of Zurich, and a Principal Investigator at the Cluster of Excellence "The Politics of Inequality" at the University of Konstanz, Germany. He leads the research group on "The Politics of Labor Market Inequality and Occupational Mobility".

Research Focus: His work examines the political implications of occupational change and economic modernization, including their effects on social hierarchies, political behavior, and welfare state policies in post-industrial democracies. He investigates how digitization and automation influence labor market inequality, individual expectations, and policy responses.
