Dr. Thomas Kratzin is an Assistant Professor and Department Chair of International Business at Northwood University, as well as Adjunct Faculty at the DeVos Graduate School. He has been with Northwood for 19 years, starting as an adjunct faculty member before transitioning to his current role in 2019. His expertise lies in globalization, mergers and acquisitions, and global investment theories. He holds a PhD and MBA in International Business & Finance from the University of Hanover, Germany, and a Diploma in Marketing Management from the Occupational Education Center in Germany.
His teaching philosophy emphasizes developing students' global communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and information utilization skills to succeed in a competitive global business environment. He values Northwood's focus on free enterprise and its family-like work environment. His research and consultancy interests include global business strategies and international finance.
