Thomas Jespersen

Thomas Jespersen is a Professor at the Department of Biomedical Sciences within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. His research focuses on pathological changes in cardiac structure and electrophysiology leading to cardiac dysfunction and arrhythmias, particularly those driven by lifestyle risk factors including sleep apnea, obesity, and vascular disorders.

His research interests integrate translational approaches combining human studies with in vivo and ex vivo large animal and rodent models, supported by cellular, histological, and molecular analyses.
