Dr. Thomas Fabisiak is the Director of the Chillon Project at Life University, where he leads an innovative program offering accredited degree opportunities to incarcerated individuals. A graduate of Cornell University (B.A.), Harvard University (M.A.), and Emory University (Ph.D.) with expertise in comparative literature and religion, he focuses on ethics and the impact of prisons on moral identity. His recent work explores "moral injury" among prison workers and supports formerly incarcerated students transitioning to campus life.

Aligned with Life University's mission of Vitalism, the Chillon Project received a Laughing Gull Foundation grant and marked Georgia's first postsecondary prison education program post-1994 Pell Grant restrictions. Dr. Fabisiak teaches online courses and collaborates with faculty to expand access to education, emphasizing trust and removing systemic barriers.
