Thomas DELPECH

Thomas DELPECH is a doctoral student in Finance at emlyon business school and Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3’s Magellan Research Laboratory since January 2024. As a teaching instructor in the Accounting & Corporate Finance department at emlyon, he contributes to academic programs while pursuing his PhD under the supervision of François-Régis PUYOU. His research focuses on the role of management control practices in shaping organizational context, particularly how formal mechanisms and social influences support social objectives beyond economic performance. He is affiliated with the French Institute of Corporate Governance (IFGE), the Francophone Accounting Association (AFC), and the Magellan research laboratory.

Thomas’s work involves participant observation in small businesses (20–50 employees) to analyze management control practices, building on his 14 years of professional experience in the field. His academic journey began with a Grande Ecole Program degree from emlyon business school in 2009, and he now seeks to integrate a humanist understanding of business into teaching and research.
