Thomas Clandinin is a Professor in the Department of Neurobiology at Stanford University. He teaches advanced courses in neurobiology including BIO 154: Advanced Neurobiology: Food, Sex, and Gaming and NEPR 288: Cellular/Molecular Neuroscience Laboratory. His academic responsibilities include mentoring students through independent studies, directed reading programs, and research opportunities across undergraduate and graduate levels in neurobiology and related disciplines.
His research interests span cellular and molecular mechanisms of neural function, behavioral neuroscience, and neural circuits. He actively supervises Undergraduate Research (NBIO 199), Graduate Research (NBIO 399), and cross-departmental studies like BIO 300X: Out-of-Department Graduate Research. He also engages in medical scholars research via NBIO 370.
