معرفی
Thomas Bilitewski is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Oklahoma State University, leading a research group focused on theoretical quantum science. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge and previously held postdoctoral positions at the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics (JILA) in Boulder, USA, and the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems in Dresden, Germany.
His research interests span AMO physics and condensed matter theory, with a focus on quantum many-body systems, quantum simulation, and quantum metrology. Key areas include spin dynamics in classical and quantum systems, synthetic dimensions, SU(N) Fermi gases, and the interplay between theory and experimental platforms like cold atoms and molecules.
Dr. Bilitewski’s work emphasizes collaborative experimental guidance, aiming to advance quantum technologies through practical proposals rooted in fundamental physics. His group currently includes PhD student Arman Duha and Post-Doc Sam Begg, and he welcomes applications for Fall 2025 PhD positions.
- Education:
- PhD in Physics, University of Cambridge (2013–2016)
- MSc in Physics, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (2011–2013)
- BSc in Physics, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (2008–2011)
His recent work explores quantum many-body scars, spin squeezing dynamics, and topological phenomena in lattice systems. Collaborative projects include experimental groups at OSU and beyond, with a focus on ultra-cold atomic/molecular setups.
