Thomas Alan Adams II

Thomas Alan Adams II is a Professor at NTNU's Department of Energy and Process Engineering. He leads research on sustainable energy conversion systems, chemical process design, and process systems engineering. His group develops solutions for carbon capture, hydrogen systems, nuclear energy integration, and plastic waste recycling.

Recent publications introduce the Risk of CO2 Avoided Index for green technology evaluation and novel ethylene production from plastic waste. He received the David Himmelblau Award for educational innovations and authored textbooks on Aspen Plus simulation and exergy analysis.
