Thomas Ahrend

Thomas Ahrend is a Lecturer and Research Associate at the Department of Musicology, University of Basel. He serves as a member of the editorial team for the Anton Webern Complete Edition at the Musicological Seminar. His academic journey includes studies in musicology, philosophy, and literature in Frankfurt am Main and Berlin, culminating in a Master of Arts (1996) and a doctorate (2005) from the Technical University of Berlin.

His research focuses on 20th-century music, particularly the works of Hanns Eisler and Anton Webern.
