Thjorben Reese

Thjorben Reese is a Research Assistant at the Chair of Practical Theology, Faculty of Theology, University of Rostock, working under Prof. Dr. Manuel Stetter since August 2024. He is currently engaged in doctoral research on the development of a new Protestant hymnal, reflecting his deep engagement with liturgical and theological traditions.

Research Interests:

• Church music and theology
• Liturgy and Liturgics
• Hymnology
• Development of Protestant hymnals

His doctoral work, titled The Last Printed Book?! Development Processes of a New Protestant Hymnal (working title), explores the evolving role of printed liturgical texts in contemporary religious practice.
