Thijs Roumen is an Assistant Professor at Cornell Tech within the Department of Information Science. He leads the Matter of Tech Lab, focusing on Digital Fabrication and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). His work aims to democratize fabrication technology for non-industrial users.

Research interests include:
- Laser cutting portability
- 3D modeling tools
- Fabrication error prevention
- Accessible haptic interfaces
