Thierry Devos is a Professor of Psychology at San Diego State University (SDSU), affiliated with the College of Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in social sciences from Switzerland and has been at SDSU since 2002. His research focuses on social identity, multiculturalism, implicit biases, intergroup relations, and national identity. Key areas include the intersection of ethnic diversity and implicit perceptions of national belonging, as well as the sociocultural factors shaping stereotypes and prejudice. He has supervised numerous graduate students and contributed to grants such as the Russell Sage Foundation-funded project on ethnic diversity and national identity. Awards include the Darlene Shiley Honors Faculty Fellowship and recognition as an Outstanding Faculty Member by Weber Honors College.
