معرفی
Thierry Blandet is a Researcher in the Geometric and Graphics Computing (IGG) team at the ICube Laboratory, University of Strasbourg. He leads the Visualization and Interaction division within the GAIA research platform. His roles involve advancing projects in virtual reality, lighting simulation, and industrial ergonomics. Current initiatives include the VIRTFac project for Industry 4.0 optimization (2019–2022), the EMERA virtual reality radiation protection training platform (2021+), and the Reord-Pdm project on production rescheduling (2024–2025). He also contributed to the ENSAS Lighting Laboratory’s solar illumination simulators, aiding architectural daylighting studies.
Research interests focus on integrating virtual reality across diverse domains: ergonomic workplace assessment via tools like Ergonom.io, radiation safety training, and sustainable architectural lighting design. His work bridges engineering, computer science, and architecture, emphasizing practical applications in industry and education.
Publications span VR applications in ergonomics, lighting simulation technologies, and 3D projection systems. Collaborations include partnerships with the CSIP team, IPHC, and the Faculty of Physics & Engineering. The ERGONOM-MMH project (2023–2024) exemplifies his exploration of VR for analyzing manual handling tasks and exoskeleton support.
