Theresa Gooda is a part-time doctoral researcher and Associate Tutor in Education at the School of Education and Social Work, University of Sussex. She also serves as Director of English at the Weald School, where she works full-time.

Her research investigates tensions between reading for pleasure and accountability measures in secondary English teaching policies. She actively participates in the National Writing Project UK as leader of the Sussex branch of Teachers as Writers (TAW), focusing on teacher-led writing pedagogy.
