Theophilus Benson is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University's College of Engineering. He holds a B.S. from Tufts University, M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a post-doctorate from Princeton University. His research focuses on democratizing digital infrastructure access, particularly in the global south, through projects like the 'Democratizing Mobile Web Performance' initiative and KubeKlone/Nimble frameworks. He leads efforts at Carnegie Mellon University Africa to bridge the digital divide via collaborations with Internet Society and local IXPs.
