Theodora Oikonomidi

Theodora Oikonomidi is a Researcher at the Clinical Epidemiology Unit (Hôtel-Dieu, Paris) affiliated with Inserm and a PhD Candidate at the EHESP School of Public Health via the Doctoral Network of Public Health Curriculum. She holds an MSc in Comparative Effectiveness Research in Public Health (Université Paris Descartes, 2017) and earlier degrees in Psychology and Health Promotion from the University of Athens. Her work bridges clinical psychology and public health, focusing on digital interventions for chronic illness management.

Research interests include developing digital tools (wearable sensors, smartphone apps) to support health behavior change in chronic conditions like diabetes, with a focus on patient perceptions of intervention intrusiveness and privacy concerns. She previously conducted systematic reviews at the METHODS lab (CRESS UMR 1153) and worked as an assistant health psychologist in private practice.

Her doctoral research examines how patients with diabetes perceive digital monitoring interventions, aiming to design evidence-based, privacy-respecting solutions. Key themes include disease self-management, adherence to medication, and the intersection of technology with daily life.
